Stewart B. Davis M.D.

Dr. Davis is a Medical Doctor (M.D.) by training but has been a full-time medical device entrepreneur for the last 20 years and investment banker for the last 7 years. He has founded or held an executive position in twelve medical device companies. Until late 2010, he served as Chief Operating Officer of SafeStitch Medical Inc. At SafeStitch, he was involved in effecting a reverse merger to go public in 2007 and went through multiple FDA approvals to ultimately lead a successful commercialization of a novel surgical device. He also serves as the Chairman of VetDriven, a veterinary products company and General Manager of Pristine Surgical / Giteliscope Group Inc, which is developing disposable arthroscopes for Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Davis was a cofounder of Bioceptive, women’s health device company, as well as its founding CEO and President.  He is the founder, CEO and President of Lexi Skin, which sells branded beauty and anti-aging products and he is the founder, COO and CFO of Copper Enriched Beauty, a novel beauty and anti-aging company that private labels products.

He sits on the board of multiple medical device companies, including VetDriven Inc., CardioDriven Inc. and Transcaval Solutions Inc. as well as on some investment committees.  He has actively consulted in business development, regulatory and quality and strategic marketing for multiple companies and venture capital firms and serves as expert witness in various medical device lawsuits. In the past, he served as Assistant Medical Director of Innovia LLC and all of its affiliates including InnFocus LLC (employee 3) and InnoGraft LLC. InnFocus sold to Santen Pharma for $700M in 2016.  Dr. Davis has done sixteen FDA clearances and CE Marks, set up four ISO 13485 quality systems and has worked on successful licensing as well as partnership deals. He has published over a dozen peer reviewed papers as well as a book. In 2011, Dr. Davis was named a Top 20 Most Influential Business Leader under the age of 40, in South Florida (Miami Herald) and named by the South Florida Business Journal to their 40 Under Forty list for 2012.
