Scott has more than 30 years' experience advising private and publicly held companies in mergers and acquisitions, private and public capital raises, and financial restructurings. Prior to joining City Capital in 2007, Scott was CEO of Browns Gibbons Lang & Company, a leading middle market investment bank with offices in Chicago and Cleveland, which he co-founded in 1996; from 1985-2006, Scott founded and headed the investment banking department at Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group Inc., where he served on the Executive Committee of the Board of that NYSE company; prior to that he was a partner of the Washington, DC, law firm of Arnold & Porter (1978-1984); from 1974-1978 he served as Assistant General Counsel for Regulatory Litigation at the U.S. Department of Energy; from 1971-1973 he was Washington Counsel for the Environmental Defense Fund, a public interest environmental litigation firm. Scott has also served as a director on numerous corporate and not-for-profit boards over his career.
