Brian Hoekstra
Mr. Hoekstra has forty years of professional experience in corporate management, business development and M&A as well as extensive technical expertise in materials processing, laser, solar, display, and semiconductor manufacturing. He has served as a technical advisor on the board level of companies such as Amtech Systems/Tempress, Skuid, Coherent, II-VI, ESI, Gentex, and NASA. He has spent over 15 years on the front lines of display, solar, and electronics manufacturing sites in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China including Samsung, LG, Apple, Foxconn, Innolux, AUO, Chi Mei, Sony, Sharp, and Corning. Prior to entering private industry, Captain Hoekstra was an executive for NASA and a Research Physicist at the Air Force Materials Laboratory where he worked on electronic & optical materials development culminating in managing key SDI (Star Wars) projects. He has over 100 publications and patents in the areas of microgravity and materials science, laser processing, solar, and semiconductor manufacturing.
