Sensata Technologies has acquired Airpax Holdings

Chicago, IL – August 15, 2007; City Capital Advisors, LLC, a Chicago middle market investment bank formed in 2006, announced today Sensata Technologies has acquired Airpax Holdings.
Transaction Summary

Sensata Technologies has closed the acquisition of Airpax Holdings, Inc., a manufacturer of components and systems for low voltage power protection, sensing and control applications. City Capital initiated this transaction as a result of having met Sensata in a previous M&A transaction managed by City Capital. The firm contacted Chicago Growth Partners (CGP) regarding their investment in Airpax, a company City Capital felt would be a good acquisition for Sensata, and ultimately introduced the two management teams. Sensata then retained City Capital to serve as its exclusive financial advisor in the acquisition of Airpax, a transaction in which a definitive agreement was reached within 35 days of CGP’s decision to entertain an offer.
