CHICAGO, January 4, 2010 – City Capital Advisors, LLC, a Chicago middle market investment bank formed in 2006, is pleased to announce that Rachel Corn Kluge, one of the firm’s Managing Directors, was named Woman Dealmaker of the Year by The M&A Advisor.
The 2009 M&A Advisor Award winners were revealed at the 8th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala in New York City on December 14, 2009. This annual program recognizes and honors top professionals and the deals completed over the last year featuring multiple categories. All of the nominated professionals and deals nominated are considered by a judge panel consisting of independent experts drawn from the ranks of private-equity firms, law firms, consultants, turnaround managers and business school deans.

Rachel has almost 20 years experience advising private and publicly held companies in the consumer products and retail sectors. For the past ten years Rachel has focused on assisting clients in mergers and acquisitions and private and public equity capital raises. Prior to joining City Capital, Rachel was a Partner in the Corporate Finance Department at William Blair & Company specializing in consumer products and retail investment banking. Representative investment banking clients Rachel has advised include The J.M. Smucker Company, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, The Alberto Culver Company, Old Orchard Brands, nSpired Natural Foods, John B. Sanfilippo, Malt-O-Meal, Jarden Corp. and Recycled Paper Greetings. Prior to joining William Blair, Rachel was an auditor at Arthur Andersen in Chicago serving major firm clients including Sara Lee Corporation, Walgreens and Montgomery Ward / GE Capital. Rachel is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
