Unico Holdings has been acquired by Perrigo Co. (nasdaq:prgo)

Chicago, IL – November 13, 2008; City Capital Advisors, LLC, a middle market investment bank, announced today that Unico Holdings has been acquired by Perrigo Co. for cash consideration slightly in excess of $50 million.

Transaction Summary

City Capital Advisors was hired as the exclusive financial advisor to Unico Holdings, a portfolio company owned by management and private equity firms Cardinal Growth and Chilmark Partners. City Capital contacted both strategic and financial buyers and managed a competitive process toward a fully-negotiated definitive agreement and closing. Perrigo is a publicly held, global company headquartered in Michigan that develops, manufactures, and distributes private label health and personal care products for the store brand market and has a market capitalization of $3 billion.
