A Majority Interest in RMH Foods has been acquired by Sandridge Food Corporation

CHICAGO, IL – June 13, 2013; City Capital Advisors, a results-oriented investment banking firm serving the middle market, announced today that a majority interest in its client, RMH Foods, was acquired by Sandridge Food Corporation. City Capital Advisors was hired as the exclusive financial advisor to RMH Foods. The transaction was led by City Capital Managing Director Rachel Corn Kluge.

Transaction Summary

Sandridge Food Corporation acquired a majority interest in RMH Foods, a leader in fully cooked refrigerated and frozen entrees. RMH Foods offers customers fully cooked retail, foodservice and specialized portion-control products utilizing Sous Vide, or cook-in-bag, technology.

This transaction leverages Sandridge’s strategy to produce innovative solutions for a growing customer base that demands fresh, great tasting food.

RMH Foods’ Sous Vide technology will help to expand Sandridge’s offerings by providing the capability to enter a new business segnment that will now include “center of the plate” entrees – a complement to Sandridge’s expansive line of fresh soups, salads, sides and sauces.
This collaboration will also strengthen Sandridge’s ability to create and distribute a wider variety of products that allow for reduced sodium and no preservatives.
Located in Morton, Illinois, RMH Foods is well positioned to ship coast to coast coupled with Sandridge.

Under this agreement, RMH Foods will become a Sandridge Family Company, a part of Sandridge Food Corporation. Jon Rocke will remail on board as the RMH Foods President, and will recieve extra support from the management team at Sandridge.
